August 31-September 4

I can't believe we are already in the 4th week of school! The first 3 weeks have been quite a success and I am so glad that we are having such a great time! Please check the Spelling section of the website in case your darling left their words at school! We are ramping up our Spelling lists to make them a little more challenging, but they are also the vocabulary words, so that we only have one single list of words rather than two.

This week we will be focusing on Multiplication and Division in Math, and a test is planned for Thursday.

In Grammar, we will be talking about the verb tenses, working on present, past, and future tenses.

We will be writing a comparison and contrasting essay about the historic and prehistoric Native Americans, hoping to really gain understanding of the tribes. We will have a Chapter Social Studies test on Friday. A study guide was given on Friday (8/28) and will be worked on in class and can also be worked on at home. This will definitely help on your child's test.

In Science, we will continue studying ecosystems. The ecosystem drawing is due Monday!

WELCOME BACK! 

I am so excited about this year! Our class has been amazing this first week and I am so happy to have you in my class! 

Thank you so much to the parents who came to Parent Night last night. There are a few things that I did not get to talk about last night that I want you to be aware of, so I will be posting some important information here within the next few days!
